Finished Dan Brown's new novel "The Lost Symbol". It was ok, not great.
As brilliantly introduced on the Rachel Maddow show
OFII syndrome (O Fortuna Induced Insanity)
All someone need do is play O Fortuna in the background of any message they say and the people will panic and go crazy.

Has anyone ever done the Master Cleanse?
I hate to use the word "diet", as it is really not a diet, but for the sake of ease, I'll use it. This is that Lemonade Diet that supposedly cleans you out and detoxs your system for 10 days.

I had a church event last night and watched the BSG finale this morning. WOW. Brilliant writing. Action packed at the begining and emotional the entire way through. Left you knowing what the characters are going to do and in a satisfying way, and most importantly like all good sci-fi things, left you with a message to mull over and to think about.
On last night's episode of "Castle" there was a great line. And kudos to ABC for giving it.
The detectives were talking about how they don't believe there is a happily commited married couple in the world and Nathan Fillion's characters says "there is... DeGeneres and DeRosi".
Good job ABC and the writers of Castle.

I am liking this new show Kings. I love political and royal intrigue and this one is set in a modern state. The games of court and the drama of always being "on stage" have always been stories that appeal to me. And I sooooo didn't see the plot line with the Crown Prince coming.
I had an appointment at the Allergy Clinic this morning to finally get tested to see if I have an allergy to Shellfish. My Mom and Grandmother are allergic to it, so I have never really tried shellfish.
Well, the result are back and I am NOT allergic to shellfish. So bring on the butter and the bib.

Yay. My guilty pleasure from last year is back on. Make me a Supermodel. Basically it is mostly naked people :-)
I have been posting this in every forum I have. I just got done watching the new Wonder Woman Animated DVD. And it is Awesome. The opening sequence is great, and this movie is much more violent than I have seen in most American animation. The violence really shows the power and force of the Amazons.
Plus, Nathan Fillion is superb as the voice of Steve Trevor.
So go out and buy/rent/borrow this movie. My hope is that it makes lots of money so that Hollywood sees that Wonder Woman is a viable money maker and will continue to produce fine stories for one of my favorite iconic characters.

This coming Friday I have an appointment at an allergy clinic to find out once and for all if I am allergic to shellfish or not. Both my Mom and my Grandmother are allergic, so my brother and I have never really tried shellfish just in case, as their reactions are major.
So if it turns out I am not allergic, I am so going to have a shellfish feast :-)

I got the nickname "Evilboy" from a late friend of mine. She was a dancer and I don't mean the classical ballet kind. Well one night at church she had this giant bruise on her inner thigh, that she couldn't really hide in the skirt she was wearing. And I of course had to point it out. "Girl. What did you do???? Grab the pole too hard????" She stuttered and stammered and say "You are an evil....evil boy". Those that were in the room and heard the conversation started using that as my nickname.
Later when I started Live Journal and AIM I needed a name to use and Evilboy was taken already so I added in "Robin" because I am a huge Batman fan, as well as Robin. So there you go Evilboyrobin.
I have thought about changing my name over time, but now that Jeanie has passed away I feel like I can't change the nickname, so I keep it in her honor.
I really want the audio of the "Musical is Back" number from the Oscars, to be on itunes :-)
I so want it.

I was going through my Itunes library today and re-discovered my "Shock Treatment" album. "Shock Treatment" was the "sequel" to "Rocky Horror". It wasn't a great movie, but it struck me how it was ahead of its time. The plot deals with a whole town that exists inside a TV studio and how everything is being watched and all the people are on reality tv shows. This was a far off the wall concept in 1981 but I think that today it fits.
Got home shortly after midnight from working the Lil' Wayne concert. Got stuck in post-Chickfila Bowl traffic. The purple and gold fans (LSU) were celebrating and the Gold and Black fans (GT) were slowly making there way home in depressed defeat. So I made it home and I finished playing Kingdom Hearts 2, as I only had the final battles left, so I thought it would be nice to finish the game as the last hurrah of the Old Year.

With the new awsome computer I was able to voice connect with
lovely_fatima in Japan. It was so great to hear her voice in so long (about 2.5 years). We got to talk for about 2 hours while I was doing some chores around the apartment.
Love ya sis.

I just got back from watching this movie (in 3D) and I have to say that I LOVED it. The action sequence at the beginning was great, I was rivoted to my seat. The story is basic but heartwarming. I absolutly loved the Bolt TV (the fictional show in the movie). As a dog owner I was tearing up in spots too. I rushed home to hug my doggie.
What I would love to see is for Disney to make a property out of this film by either producing the actual Bolt TV show or even making shorts of the TV show (in the movie) and put them in front of their other animated features.
The animation was great, close to Pixar quality, and you could tell that Disney Studios have learned from Pixar as the characters had emotion and you could see it in their eyes.
